Join us for an opportunity to meet Jose Cortes, a 3rd generation Jimador (agave harvester) from Casa Herradura, at this exciting and enlightening seminar about the agave plant, the source of tequila. The three-part seminar begins with an introduction to the unique agave plant, followed by a hands-on interactive harvesting experience led by Jose Cortes. The seminar will be capped off with a high-stakes agave harvesting competition where some of the Bay Area’s top bartenders will compete for bragging rights and custody for one year of the “Casa Herradura Golden Coa” (the “coa” is the harvesting tool of the Jimador)! Of course, the evening would not be complete without a tasty Herradura cocktail to enjoy.
